The A.U.R. CenterThe A.U.R. Center

The Assembly of United Religions Center in Jerusalem will serve as the headquarters for the implementation of religious rights throughout the world.

Jerusalem has for centuries been the religious focus of many faiths whose divergences have led to much violent misunderstanding in the past. But followers of these same faiths proclaimed long ago that Jerusalem will one day be the centre of a new awareness, spreading the message of peace and universality across the world. The occasion of the millennium provides a unique opportunity to make that change of spirit, and call the whole world, from Jerusalem, to join in to the spirit of Unity.

The A.U.R., an organisation representing all faiths in the world, is the ideal tool to raise universal awareness toward mutual understanding and participation.

From their offices in the A.U.R. delegates from all religions will work together to straighten out tensions and conflicts and designate neutral parties to ease the dialogue.

In case of religious conflict, the A.U.R. will send delegates where’ve it is needed to help achieve a peaceful settlement.

The Peace Treaty and all other amendments made by the A.U.R. will be sent worldwide to all temples, churches, mosques and synagogues having A.U.R. representatives.

For the first time in human history, a peace treaty between all religions is about to be signed. Spiritual and religious leaders from around the world will participate in this unprecedented event. This historical signing and gathering will take place at the newly dedicated building of the Assembly of United Religions located in Jerusalem.

The Religious Peace Treaty will consist of amendments defending religious rights for all, to be respected and protected around the planet. It will also call for an end to enmity based on religious bias.

The Assembly of United Religions, operating much like a “Spiritual United Nations”, will monitor the implementations of the amendments, as well as help to resolve the existing tensions between believers of different religions.

The Jerusalem Religious Peace accord was originally envisioned as a signed agreement between dignitaries of Islam and Judaism, for a spiritual approach to peace in the Middle East. The Minister of Faith of Mecca, Sheikh Ishaq Zacuta, and the chief Rabbis of Israel were among the participants.

U.S. President Bill Clinton supported the initiative and stated in a letter addressed to the organisers of the effort, that ‘religious hostility often is an aspect of national or ethical conflict. I am convinced that religious dialogue just as often can be one of its principal remedies.”

The idea of religious peace signing eventually spawned such interest that representatives from Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism are eager to get involved.

The Vatican’s ambassador to Jerusalem scheduled a meeting later this year for a delegation of rabbis and sheiks with His Holiness Pope John Paul II to coordinate his presence at the signing. We also hope to include the presence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama and His Holiness Satya Sai Baba as representatives of Buddhism and Hinduism, as well as other world spiritual leaders in the signing of the Treaty.

This historical event will be the starting point to eventually culminate in the drawing of a Charter of Universal Religious Rights for all faiths around the globe.
