After spending over 14 years in the traditional university system Dr. Forman became a strong advocate of an innovative and alternative type of education that allows for the incorporation of the “whole person”, a process substantively different from the pedagogy found in traditional academia, which he claims can cause a bi-furcation in the personality of the student, “literally splitting their brain and feelings, or heart, in two opposing directions”. Dr. Forman’s degrees in distance and alternative education are emphasized here as this is the field of his life’s work. He is dedicated to a process of education that nourishes and nurtures the complete person.
